The Rat Zapper 2000 was designed with the average household consumer in mind. Many of our customers, however, have ongoing rodent problems and go through several packs of batteries in a year. These customers have requested an add-on battery pack that would provide longer battery life with less battery changing.

We now carry the Rat Pack, an add-on battery pack that will allow any Rat Zapper 2000 owner to power their unit with 4 D-cell batteries instead of the 4 AA's. The D-cell battery pack will provide 6 times (60 kills or 6 months time) the battery life that the AA's currently provide. This add-on battery pack is great for rural customers, commercial users and Pest Control Operators.

This battery pack will save the cost and inconvenience of replacing AA batteries anywhere between 6 and 12 times a year.

HOW THE RAT PACK ATTACHES TO THE RZ 2000 RODENT TRAP

The Rat Pack is simple to install and use and you won't have to fuss with it for at least 6 months. You simply install two "dongles" (our name for the battery-like inserts that go in the exisiting Rat Zapper 2000 battery compartment).
You can then re-install the battery cover.
Finally, you invert the Rat Pack and strap it down on top of the Rat Zapper 2000 battery compartment. You will still have easy access to the Rat Zapper power switch, the indicator light and the jack for the optional Rat Tale or radio transmitter.

The 4 D-cell batteries provide plenty of power for zapping large rats and ground squirrels (as well as mice and voles). Also, the extra weight of the D-cell batteries helps to keep the Rat Zapper firmly planted and prevents larger rodents from tipping the Rat Zapper.
